Celebrating 50 years of Petersfield Fairs from 1-3 September, the Petersfield Antiques Fair will have 35 exhibitors with a wide and enticing range of formal and semi-formal antiques and Decorative Arts for the home and garden. Expect to see many of our regulars including W R Harvey Antiques, Plaza Jewellery, Mark Buckley Antiques and Morgan Strickland, plus 3 new faces: Panache (Vivienne King and David Dridland from the West country, John Lock from London and Nick Skipp Fine Art with artworks from antiquity to modernity. |
W. R. Harvey - A fine and rare pair of Regency Mahogany Library Armchairs upholstered in a faded red hide with brass
nailing, the deeply shaped backs flanked by scrolling arms and raised on Lyre-shaped mahogany frames
with reeded details and turned front legs terminating in brass cups and casters. H: 38” 97 cms W:27”

Plaza - Antique Amethyst Pearl Peridot Pendant This pendant is from the Edwardian era and
is in the popular green, white and violet colours of the Suffragette movement. It is in
15ct gold in an Art Nouveau design formed of oval gold bands, one of which is set with pearls,
a central oval Millegrain set amethyst weighing 2ct and a suspended 0.50ct peridot. Priced at £1,325.
Mark Buckley Antiques - An Exhibition Quality Pair Of Mahogany and Ormolu Palatial Torcheres.
Of exceptional quality and unusual design, the turned tops mounted with floral and beaded
ormolu mounts, the fluted bodies having gilt drop finials to the underside, supported by an
unusually designed brass centre support consisting of turned golden ball and brass rods.
The legs embellished with finely cast ormolu floral plaques throughout and finished with
gilt painted recessed details; joined by a triform base with beaded mounts.
