Judith Miller - The Queen of Antiques

JudithMiller

Judith Miller - 16 09 51 - 12 04 23

We are shocked and saddened to hear of the death of our friend and colleague, the peerless 'Queen of Antiques', Judith Miller.

Friend and mentor to so many, wife, mother and grandmother to a dear family, writer, antiques expert, broadcaster and hard working business woman who always turned up to support any trade venture that needed a bit of JM sparkle and expertise.  Humble and regal at the same time, she will be terribly missed at ANF as a leader in the industry and a warm and witty friend.

In 2018 we interviewed Judith for our In Conversation blog which gives a bird's eye view of her remarkable career and her prodigious global publishing catalogue, but it says much about this marvellous woman, who when asked about how she unwinds, said this:

"Music. John and I go to listen to live music as often as we can. This month the Rolling Stones in Paris, then Jason Orbell and War on Drugs. Of course we travel the world to hear 'the Boss' – Bruce Springsteen. And I was really upset to hear of the death of Tom Petty who we heard in Hyde Park this summer. Travel. Reading. Theatre. Film – our son recently took me to see Victoria and Abdul for my birthday. Meeting friends for good food and wine. Cooking. Looking after 4 grandchildren. In fact how do I find time for work!"

A life cut short way too soon, but one well lived and cherished every minute of every day.

RIP dear Judith
