The Decorative Collective is moving into 2023 with a new web-site

The owner of the on-line marketplace The Decorative Collective is launching a new version of the web-site. The dealer owned on-line platform originally launched in 2009 and has seen success for the decorative trade.

Jane Walton, owner of both Decorative Collective and The Hoarde Vintage sites, gave ANF a summary of the latest changes.

"The new site was built very much around SEO and to modernise the look, features and use of the site.  We are always striving to improve as much as possible and incremental improvements have been happening all the time, perfecting those improvements as we go along.

This re-build was different in that it was a major overhaul of the site completely, and was much bigger than I had originally intended to undertake. A new responsive site for mobile usage was one of the main things that prompted this major project, but it’s like a house renovation, you start and you find many things that you then want to improve, add or change!"

With more and more buyers using the internet on their mobile devices than ever, the new mobile site has been a great improvement for regular shoppers on the Decorative Collective.  The new website launch has been one year in the making, with tweaks still being completed on the search functions and client accounts. Jane also has plans to update the sister site, Hoarde Vintage, in the New Year and plans to offer more payment options are also on the horizon next year.

The Decorative Collective has over 165 dealers with thousands of items ranging from £100 to £25,000+. Dealers are vetted by Jane herself who was a dealer for over 20 years and is well known within the trade.

Jane continued: "Our sites have always from the start, been incredibly transparent and we believe it is one of the things that clients most like about us and why they trust using the DC. Our sellers enjoy working with us because we don’t interfere in the flow of a purchase. The other reason this transparency is vital is that it allows sellers and clients to have the opportunity of forming and growing a working relationship directly and as a dealer myself, I know and understand the importance of this."

The pieces on the Decorative Collective reflect quality and importantly, are a fantastic mix of current in demand pieces.

To celebrate the recent launch of the newly updated Decorative Collective website, they are currently giving five lucky winners the chance to win various prizes, with each prize accompanied by one of the brand new Gift Vouchers that have just been released. The competition is being run on the Decorative Collectives Instagram account until Tuesday 20th of December, 2022 at 23.59pm. Instagram at decorative_collective.
