The scent bottle was made during the Art Deco period by the Czech company HEM. Price £495

Malcolm Eglin Antiques - A wonderful early 19th century upholstered wing armchair, deep buttoned back, large cushion using the finest quality new upholstery. Priced at £1595.

ABOUT THIS FAIR:

Wentworth Woodhouse is a Grade I listed stately home in South Yorkshire, with the longest façade of any country house in England and Galloway Fairs are looking forward to returning to the Wentworth Woodhouse Antiques & Fine Art Fair taking place 7-9 June 2019.

Stands will be set out throughout the ground floor including the Pillared Hall, Ship Room, Painted Drawing Room, Blue Room, Library and Chapel corridor.

John Newton Antiques - A fine Regency period cup & saucer richly decorated in the oriental manner with figures in a landscape with an arching bridge, cottage and exotic foliage. This is New Hall porcelain from circa 1815 and priced at £185.

WHY YOU SHOULD VISIT THIS FAIR:
Among the well-known dealers from Galloways fair at this venue last year will be furniture dealers J C Antiques of Yorkshire, Lancaster House Antiques from Lancashire and Malcolm Eglin Antiques from Northumberland. Art Specialists will include Keith Ellis Fine Art of Yorkshire and Ruth Hudson Fine Art also Yorkshire based. Silver will be offered for sale by Highland Antiques from Aberdeen, Jack Shaw & Co of Ilkley, Martins Silver of Lancashire Les & Rhoda Howard of Cheshire. Ceramics, decorative glass, bronze sculpture, Treen and object’s d’art from Georgian through Art Deco and Art Nouveau periods will be for sale by Solo Antiques, Calvie Gallery, The Cedar Tree, TSV, Bryan Bowden and Not Chelsea. Oriental antiques by Fu t’sang Lung, antiquarian maps and prints from J. Dickinson of Derbyshire and Oriental rugs and carpets by another fellow from Aberdeen, John Briggs. Dazzling jewellery will also be available from a number of jewellers.

Malcolm Eglin Antiques  - A stunning solid leather cabin steamer trunk by Harrods of London priced at £1095. Carries the original monogram B K N Wyllie, which we believe attributes the ownership of the trunk to head Geologist for British Petroleum, working in South America.
