 Graham Reed of Graham reed Fine Art with a watercolour by Yorkshire artist Edwin Bottomley (1865-1929), dated 1910. Priced at £1,800.

ABOUT THIS FAIR:

A collection of art pottery from the late C19th and early C20th including examples from such famous factories as Pilkingtons, Della Robbia, Burmantofts, Moorcroft and Ruskin will be shown by exhibitor Brian Ashbee at The Pavilions of Harrogate Decorative, Antiques & Art Fair at the Great Yorkshire Showground, Harrogate, 1-3 November 2019.

Among the highlights will be a superbly decorated charger from Della Robbia designer Gwendoline Buckler, circa 1900, 47cm in diameter, and made in Birkenhead, Merseyside. This rare piece has the premium price of £2450.00. A collection of Pilkingtons Royal Lancastrian ware, made at Clifton Junction, Manchester, is equally colourful and collectable. Brian Ashbee told ANF: "There is a strong demand for good quality designer pieces from the Decorative Arts era, a period in which designers excelled in Britain. It is a delight to offer such a fascinating, colourful and decorative collection of pieces at the Harrogate Fair. Prices will range from an affordable £25 up to £3,000."

Studiotic - A superb linocut by Edward Bawden, depicting St Pauls Cathedral, signed and numbered 99/100. Priced at £4,750.

Scarab Antiques - Exquisite Art Deco glass decanter & 5 glasses with white metal overlay. Price £595.

WHY YOU SHOULD VISIT THIS FAIR:

Among the 45 dealers joining the fair this time will be Garrett & Hurst who specialise in C19th and C20th  bronze sculpture; Rowles Fine Art, paintings and sculpture; jewellery specialists include Plaza and Shapiro & Co. Also dealing in jewellery, glass and the Decorative Arts will be Scarab Antiques. New exhibitors this time include La Boheme, C20th collectibles including Czech art glass and Linda Blackford dealing in small furniture and decorative accessories. Local dealer Chris Holmes will be showing decorative antiques with an industrial edge together with antique garden vessels and lighting.  King George Antiques will bring a wide selection of C19th mahogany furniture and leather chesterfield sofas with decorative accessories.
