Antiques News & Fairs - CADA announces 2020 Fair dates and new venue

The Naples Gallery at Compton Verney

ABOUT THIS FAIR:

The Cotswolds Art & Antiques Dealers’ Association (CADA) has announced that the 9th annual CADA Fair will take place at Compton Verney Art Gallery and Park, Thursday 15 October – Sunday 18 October 2020, a move from the existing venue of Blenheim Palace.

Compton Verney, situated on the northern edge of the Cotswolds region in Warwickshire, has six permanent collections (Naples, Northern European Art 1450-1650, British Portraits, Chinese, British Folk Art & The Marx-Lambert Collection) and a schedule of thought-provoking changing exhibitions and events, it is an accredited museum, and is a registered charity.

The fair which represents the members of the last remaining regional antique dealers' association, has built a reputation for the very best quality outside the capital for each discipline. Member exhibits will include furniture, pictures, silver, early needlework and antique boxes, sculpture, bronze, clocks and barometers, carpets and textiles, glass, jewellery, English and Oriental ceramics, antiquarian and rare books, garden ornaments and statuary.

Alex Puddy, Chairman of CADA, said: "We are thrilled to be holding the CADA Fair 2020 at Compton Verney. We were unable to book Blenheim Palace this year as the roof at the Orangery is scheduled for repair during 2020 so we have actively been looking for a new venue. Compton Verney is just perfect and it also has a long association with art and antiques.

I am pleased to announce that Ingrid Nilson of The Antiques Dealers Fair Limited will be assisting with the planning and the organisation of the new fair to make sure that it is as prestigious as before.  We are relaunching the fair with a new autumn date, a new venue, and a new organisational team, so we are looking forward to welcoming back our exhibitors and clients in this exciting new venue’.

WHY YOU SHOULD VISIT THIS FAIR:

Ingrid Nilson told ANF: "I am honoured to be asked to join the team working with this prestigious event at such an exciting venue. I will be looking forward to building on the existing structure and bringing a fresh approach to the event."

Julie Finch, Director of Compton Verney says: “We are delighted to welcome the Cotswolds Art and Antiques Dealers’ Association for their annual fair.  It will take place in our galleries where visitors and exhibitors will be surrounded by the sumptuous art we have in our collections.  It is a spectacular setting both inside and out and I’m sure the fair’s new location here will enchant and delight attendees."
