Fontaine Fast Forward

Fans of Fontaine Decorative, affectionately known as The Fontaine Boys in the antiques trade, will be delighted to learn that they will be returning to the Autumn Decorative Antiques & Textiles Fair 2-7 October, 2018 having been immersed in major projects on the home and business front for the past year or more.

Fontaine Boys' Elizabethan Pad in Ledbury

Their move from Kent to a spectacular Elizabethan manor house in rural Herefordshire has been a major restoration project both inside and out and will now become both home and business base for the Fontaine Boys going forward.

The restoration of the period barns in the grounds has been a complete labour of love if not sustained endurance test and these buildings are scheduled to open as a trade call by appointment later this year. Future plans for the main property include luxurious bed and breakfast accommodation.

Working todwards completion of the trade showrooms

In the midst of this frantic episode they decided to re-launch their website, Fontaine Decorative no small undertaking with 1000s of items of stock to edit and upload but the end result expertly represents the Fontaine brand – as described by antiques and collectibles expert Mark Hill: “Stuart and Kiel who run Fontaine are veritable alchemists when it comes to display. Their innate skill and eye at sourcing objects of beauty and desire are unparalleled, but it’s what they do with it that marks them out as truly top-flight dealers and decorators”.

Stuart and Kiel say simply: “We're dealers and we like to inspire! We have an informal and relaxed approach to antique furnishing and are always happy to discuss projects.”
