Precious Flora  - A beautiful brooch “cosmos” which was made in Austria in the 1950’s – 60’s. Priced at £1280.

ABOUT THIS FAIR:

Following on from a very successful debut last October, Galloway Antiques Fairs will be returning to Cowdray House, Cowdray Park, in Midhurst over the weekend of 23 – 25 February 2018. The fair attracted an enthusiastic crowd last year with a broad collection of antiques, furniture, silver, porcelain, glass, clocks, oriental rugs, jewellery, vintage and decorative items, antique and contemporary fine art and bronze sculptures from 17th century to modern times, with prices ranging from £25 to £25000.

Tim Saltwell - A matched pair of Victorian Dot & Trellis parquetry tables firmly attributed to Donald Ross. Priced at £18,500.

WHY YOU SHOULD VISIT THIS FAIR:
Formerly the home of Lord & Lady Cowdray, Cowdray House offers a superb back drop for the antiques fair. Stands will be set out in a series of rooms on the ground floor of the house to include the fabulous Buck Hall with its barrel-vaulted ceiling and minstrel’s gallery, the drawing room, dining room and morning rooms.

With some 30 dealers travelling from either end of the country to attend, Aberdeen to Kent, you will find furniture dealers Tim Saltwell, Wilsons of Worthing and Freshford Antiques. Among the jewellers exhibiting are Scarab Antiques, Precious Flora, S & A Thomson and Billy Rae. Porcelain dealers include Bottlebrook Antiques and John Lock. Fine art specialists selling paintings and beautiful bronze sculpture, antique and contemporary, will include Hickmet Fine Art, Art of the Imagination, Westbourne Fine Art and Aquila Fine Art. General dealers will include Robin B. Little, Celia Rose Antiques, Angela Close and TSV Antiques.

Hickmet Fine Arts - A fabulous late 19th century animalier sculpture, bronze study of a neighing horse by artist Isidore Bonheur. Priced at £6850.
