WHY YOU SHOULD VISIT THIS FAIR:
ANF says: this sumptuous event is one of the trophy fairs held in the capital but outside the rush of the hectic summer season and apart from being a destination for buyers of art and antiques, both from the trade and the public, the Fair’s superb programme of talks is an absorbing day out in itself with events free of charge to all ticket holders.
Imparting knowledge and expertise to the visitors will be; Ashley Gray from Gray MCA, one of the UK’s leading authorities on Original Fashion Illustration, Chris Spring, curator at the British Museum, Arthur Milner, freelance consultant in Indian and Islamic Art, Francesca Leoni Yousef Jameel, curator of Islamic Art at the Ashmolean Museum, Grant Pierrus from Interior Style Hunter with interior designer, Rachel Laxer, senior curator for Museums within the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea, Daniel Robbins and artist Tom Ellis alongside Simone Stewart, the curator at the Wallace Collection. For details of times and advance tickets see Winter Art & Antiques Fair Olympia Events.
Fair Director Mary Claire Boyd told ANF: ...The Winter Art & Antiques Fair Olympia continues to grow in popularity as seasoned collectors and new followers of the art and antiques scene embark on the opportunity to find pieces that are out of the ordinary and perfect for their home. In the wake of Brexit, we are expecting a rise in the number of overseas buyers.”
