ABOUT THIS FAIR:

The LAPADA Fair, flagship event of LAPADA the Association of Art & Antiques Dealers returns for the 2018 edition with striking botanic themed branding redolent of the leafy location for the event under the direction of a new LAPADA Chief Executive, Freya Simms, with a new fair director Sophie Wood and with a dazzling list of 100 exhibitors drawn from the membership of the largest antiques dealers' association in the UK.

Since the move to Berkeley Square in 2009, the LAPADA Art & Antiques Fair has grown to become a leading global showcase for art and antiques, as well as one of the most prestigious events on the London social calendar welcoming an international crowd likely to be embellished with even more fashion forward visitors in town for London Fashion Week, (14-18 September).

Work from across the art, antiques, design and decorative arts spectrum including jewellery, furniture, C209th art and design, carpets, tapestries, antiquities, clocks, ceramics, silver and fine art, authenticity is assured thanks to a 70-member specialist committee pre-vetting everything on sale with prices in the £500 - £500,00 range.

Hospitality is at the forefront of this prestigious event with superb restaurant and bar facilities on site and the emphasis from LAPADA CEO Freya Simms is that member exhibitors look forward to meeting not just established clients but welcome new visitors to the fair to talk about their carefully curated showcases.

Freya Simms shares her top tips for shopping in Berkeley Square:

  • Don't be afraid to speak to the exhibitors, they are always happy to share their knowledge and expertise.
  • Don't forget that dealers refresh their stand with new stock every day - you will need more than one visit to see it all! (Tickets for the LAPADA Fair are valid all week)!
  • For jewellery - try it on! It is essential to know how pieces look and feel on your skin.
Talks and Events at the Fair:

The Headline Lecture will be presented by Cultural Partner, the Ashmolean Museum, on Monday, 17 September, and will be focused on the content of its upcoming exhibition, ‘Spellbound: Magic, Ritual and Witchcraft’.

A series of exciting talks organised by The Arts Society will run throughout the fair.
