ABOUT THIS FAIR:

Over 40 specialist dealers from across the country will be in attendance at the Cotswolds Decorative Antiques & Art Fair, popular with visitors, designers and collectors in search of period accessories, original antiques, decorative furnishings and original works of art.

With prices ranging from under £25 to more than £25,000, it is a wonderful event to suit every pocket.

The fair will take place in Westonbirt School’s grand hall, Orangery and adjoining rooms.  It is organised by Sue Ede, famous for organising the Bath Decorative Antiques Fair and the Shepton Flea at the Bath & West Showground.  "This is one of our longest-established events... first run in 1989 and every year since then, appealing to collectors and home decorators across the region," Sue explains.

 Paul Burnett Antiques - A rare 1970's replica of a characteristically Art Nouveau lamp, by American designer Louis Comfort Tiffany, priced at £3600.

WHY YOU SHOULD VISIT THIS FAIR:

Amongst regular exhibitors will be W. R. Harvey Antiques, specialists in period furniture, who will be presenting a pair of mahogany and upholstered leather armchairs, made by the famous Gillows company, dating from the Regency period.  Priced at £25,000, they are described as one of the most impressive articles of English furniture to appear at the Cotswolds Fair for years.

Paul Burnett Antiques will be presenting richly decorated lamps, vases and glass by American designer Louis Comfort Tiffany.  Characteristic of the Art Nouveau period, the lamp pictured above is a rare 1970’s replica, priced at £3,600. The original example sold for $600,000.

Jo Brayshaw will be bringing decorative lighting, glass, ceramics and furniture.  Brian Ashbee & Wesley Wotruba, specialists in C19th and C20th furniture and objets d’art will be in attendance.  Scandinavian by Design will present Mid-Century Modern furniture and lighting.  Granta Fine Art will have English and Continental works by mid and late C20th artists.  Jewellery and silver will be represented by specialists including Plaza, Terry Robert and Shapiro & Co. with Russian and Art Nouveau pieces. Twentieth Century Glamour will show a range of decorative Art Deco prints, Hollywood style designer jewellery and Art Deco figurines, and Hassan Alabaf will show exotic Persian carpets and rugs.

New exhibitors include Robert Eagle Fine Art, a specialist art dealer with over 200 original works in his stock, who has chosen the Cotwolds Decorative Antiques & Art Fair as his fair debut; Linda North Antiques, specialists in architectural pieces and garden statuary and a regular exhibitor at the Bath Decorative Antiques Fair; and Fox House Fine Art, who are bringing a selection of paintings, drawings and works of art from the C19th and C20th, with an emphasis on animals, field sports, natural history and the pastoral scene.
