SP Fairs Acquires Exeter’s Matford Antiques & Collectors Fair

Antiques News & Fairs - SP Fairs Acquires Exeter’s Matford Antiques & Collectors Fair

Sue, Katie and Peter Ede of SP Fairs are pleased to announce the acquisition of Matford Antiques & Collectors Fair, formerly run by Devon County Antiques Fairs. The fair will now be known as Exeter Matford Antiques & Collectors Fair.

Sue Ede told ANF: "We are delighted to be taking over this long running and well established West Country fair. We are looking forward to reigniting the fair as one of the largest Saturday fairs in the country. Our aim is to enthusiastically refresh the fair starting on 11 August with a full advertising and marketing campaign, to re-establish it as a 200-300 quality stand event.

It will take us some time and a lot of hard work but, with the support of the many dealers who show at our fairs in the West and across the country, we are confident we can look forward to a busy and successful future."

The Matford Fair has been a regular event for more than 25 years. Stand holders exhibit under cover or in the open and the fair, with a general dateline of 1970.

Sue Ede is well known for running events across the country, including the well-known Bath
Decorative Antiques Fair and the recently established West Country event, Bruton Decorative Antiques Fair. Sue, Katie and Peter also organise the Giant Shepton Flea Market at the Royal Bath & West Showground.
