HARROGATE ANTIQUE FAIR
The Harrogate Antique and Fine Art Fair – 28 September – 2 October 2016 returns to the Harrogate International Centre with around 35 well known exhibitors across the panoply of antiques and Fine Art and notable jewellery.
Solo Antiques - A charming Art Deco patinated bronze figure of a coquettish Pierette by Wolfgang Schwatzkopf (1886 – 1993) who was a well known ceramics designer for Rosenthal. German c 1930.
The fair was reinvented by the present organiser Louise Walker, when she acquired the event more than thirty years ago. It was at that time a small but select event which has now evolved into an important fixture on the fairs calendar and a major attraction on the Northern social scene, attracting a regular audience who have developed relationships with the dealers returning to each event.
Roger de Ville Antiques - Rare Duke of Wellington wall plaque.
A recent development of the profile of the fair has been the inclusion of 20th century and Art Nouveau specialist dealers, adding another dimension to this interesting Fair. An added incentive to buyers at the fair is that many of the exhibitors are members of either the BADA, The British Antique Dealers' Association or LAPADA, The Association of Art & Antique Dealers.
Autumn 2016 sees many regular exhibitors attending including fine furniture antique furniture dealers Millington Adams, early pottery from Roger de Ville Antiques, Fine Art from MacConnal Mason, Walker Galleries, Walker Galleries Contemporary and Haynes Fine Art of Broadway, silver and objets de virtue from Bourdon-Smith, fine antique clocks from Olde Time, exquisite and quirky jewellery from international exhibitor Sue Brown and the Decorative Arts from Solo Antiques.
