GALLOWAY FAIRS - STONEYHURST COLLEGE
Set in the heart of the beautiful Ribble Valley, Stonyhurst College will be the spectacular venue for the Stoneyhurst College Antiques & Fine Art Fair 5-7 August 2016. Organisers, Harrogate based organisers Galloway Antiques Fairs, will be returning to Stonyhurst College for the 21st year with their antiques and fine art fair so know the landscape well, and invite visitor to enjoy the gardens when they visit the Elizabethan Manor House which was built in 1592 by Sir Richard Shireburn.
The event has attracted many of its regular exhibitors – many from the North of England like Heritage Antiques and Lancaster House Antiques both specialising in clocks and furniture, Mark Buckley of Skipton who deals in inlaid Victorian and Edwardian furniture. Traditional and Contemporary art dealers are Jo Bennett of Cheshire, Yorkshire dealers Ruth Hudson and J C Fine Art and Coppergate Gallery . Other dealers include Fu T'sang Lung of South Yorkshire specialises in Oriental Antiques. Jewellers will include Plaza, Anderson Jones, S & A Thomson, Scarab and Billy Rae. Among some of the other regulars will be Jane Kirsopp-Reed of Newcastle, period oak dealers Melody Antiques of Chester, Christine Thom of Perthshire, Antiquarian map dealer J. Dickinson of Derbyshire and Antiques by Design of Staffordshire who has an eclectic mix of antique and design studio glass, silverware and bronzes and also handmade jewellery by designer silversmith Narissa Mather. The silver specialists at Stonyhurst will include G & K Antiques of Warwickshire and Highland Antiques from Aberdeen.
