ABOUT THIS FAIR:

Burford Antiques Fair at Burford School returns after a very successful launch in 2016 when the event proved very popular with local collectors and interior decorators. WHY YOU SHOULD VISIT THIS FAIR:

Newsum Antiques from Winchcombe will feature chic Scandinavian folk art, including painted furniture, ceramic wall plaques, C20th glass, antique metalwork and early wooden and china collectables. Among their collection will be two rare life-size Swedish decoy ducks at £275 each; a colourful textured ceramic wall plaque by Mari Simmulson in blue and green, priced at £175, and a collection of painted French folk art boxes at £295 each.

W.R.Harvey Antiques will be showing pieces for the dining and drawing room including a fine Regency period mahogany serving table that once stood in Barmoor Castle, Northumberland, priced at £6,250; and a mahogany side table with two drawers, from the reign of George II, priced at £1,500.

Jupiter Antiques' collection will represent the famous porcelain factories of Bow, Derby, Caughley, Chelsea, Lowestoft, Worcester and Bristol. In Blue & White and appealingly decorative will be a Lowestoft patty pan painted with a butterfly surrounded by flowers, priced at £395.

The event's organiser, Caroline Penman of Penman Fairs, said: "Our eclectic range of art, antiques and decorative pieces was just what people wanted, and with prices from less than £30 to more than £10,000, we provided something for everyone, however deep their pocket... our exhibits are vetted for quality and authenticity so buyers are reassured that their purchases will be genuine items, which is so important."
