Antiques for Everyone (AFE) to launch in London for the first time
Antiques for Everyone (AFE), now celebrating its 30th year, will be launching for the first time in East London on 13-15 January 2017.
Originally launched in Birmingham NEC in 1986, AFE London: Art Antiques Interiors Fair will be the first event of its kind to come to London's ExCel Centre, bringing together 150 exhibitors in the fields of art, antiques and interiors.
Fair Director, Mary Claire Boyd comments; "Taking place in East London’s largest exhibition space, the Fair will open up the opportunity to reach a new audience, in an untapped area of London as well as the surrounding Home Counties. Using our proven successful track record in delivering quality antique fairs, we will be able to deliver a new AFE style event adapted to London, attracting a new art and antique enthused audience".
Marketed to attract both existing and loyal visitors, as well as a younger urban audience from the surrounding Home Counties, the event expects to attract up to 10,000 visitors over its 3 day run. Visitors are expected to range from seasoned collectors, trade buyers and enthusiasts, through to interior designers and first time home buyers.
Philip Carroll, a regular exhibitor commented; "Terrific news, if this new venture is anywhere near as successful as AFE at the NEC, it will give the business a huge boost, and kick start the New Year".
Exhibits will be displayed in the form of small stands and room-set styles, displaying ceramics and glass, paintings and photography, furniture, carpets and tapestries, silverware, jewellery and much more.
In addition, thousands of exhibited items will be for sale, including art deco, art nouveau and C20th contemporary art and design.
