Antiques Anonymous, named to play on the addiction that dealers have for antiques and arts, is a collaboration of the 80 dealers based on Church Street, Marylebone, and Alfies Antique Market. With London art and antique institutions such as Grays Mews, Burlington Arcade and Portobello Road closing or evolving, Antiques Anonymous hopes to highlight Church Street as a last outpost for high quality traditional and contemporary decorative objects.

The event will take place with the support of Westminster City Council.  A spokesperson from Westminster City Council said: “We are pleased to be working with Antiques Anonymous, to bring this Antiques, Art and Design Flea market to Church Street NW8. There has already been a great deal of interest in this first event, and I'd encourage people to visit this diverse and vibrant part of London to give it their support so that it can become a regular event on the London event calendar.”

The Church Street area has gathered momentum recently becoming a one stop design destination, with some of the largest collections of high-calibre antique and contemporary design pieces in Europe. The recent announcement of the closure of The Mews section of Grays Antiques in Mayfair - a victim of the ongoing chaos caused by The Crossrail construction, is a big gain for Church Street with the influx of around 30 of the former Grays Mews dealers moving to Alfies.  Plans are in place for a major overhaul of the iconic Alfies building with its Egyptian motif facade, details to be announced later this year.

This new and exciting era for Church Street is underscored by the arrival of newcomers such as Daniel Raphael Gallery and Cutler & Gross Vintage, and pop-ups such as, ‘Jessica Ogden: Still,’ an exhibition exploring the relationships between Ogden's earlier and later works curated by the University of the Arts London, all attracting a younger and more creative audience. The street will also see the return of Les Trois Garcons, whose previous incarnations include the famed, eponymous Shoreditch restaurant.

More than 50 professional antique, vintage and design obsessed dealers from London and beyond with join the Church Street and Alfies dealers for the Antiques Anonymous event, providing an exciting shopping experience for lovers of vintage and fine design.  This will be complemented by artisan street food, live music, pop-up shops and exhibitions showcasing local talent.

Street food will be provided by KERB’s The Mac Factory and Hackney-based Young Vegans. Social enterprise Munch in Marylebone will be working with vulnerable women from The Marylebone Project to make and provide, fresh and healthy artisan salads and sweets on an Alfies-sponsored stall.  The Sea Shell restaurant on Lisson Grove - a favourite of Lady GaGa - is celebrating its 60th anniversary this year and will be joining Antiques Anonymous with a one-off special menu.
