A busy summer ahead for IACF Ltd with events taking place at their popular antiques fairs

It's a busy summer season ahead for IACF Ltd with events within events at their popular fairs across the UK

Antiques News & Fairs - iacf Summer Update

Best dressed stall - In a special effort to 'dress up' the appearance of its fairs, IACF have launched a 'Best Dressed Stall' competition at Ardingly, Newark & Shepton Mallet. The winner will receive a bottle of wine or bubbly, a certificate, and a spotlight on the IACF website and social media pages. The award will be judged and presented by Will Thomas, CEO of IACF.  He will be looking for creativity, originality and aesthetic excellence, as the most important aspects when judging. The first fair to feature the competition will be the Ardingly International Fair on 20-21 June 2017.

Suggestion Boxes - IACF are really keen to hear ideas, suggestions and comments from its exhibitors and patrons, so they will be placing comment boxes at all of their fairs.  Commentors can post their thoughts and suggestions anonymously, or they can include their contact details if they would like a reply. They welcome all ideas, not matter how unique or whacky, for helping improve the fairs further.

Rain did not stop play at Sandown - On Tuesday 6 June, Sandown Racecourse was quite wet, but it did not dampen the spirits of the stallholders or fair-goers. Due to torrential downpours, the Sandown Antiques Market was not able to place stalls around the racecourse paddock in its usual fashion, so those stalls were moved indoors.  Lynne Boby (chief organiser at Sandown), managed to fit everyone inside the hall, and the buzz was reportedly fantastic.  Dealers reported excellent sales, in spite of the rain, and a brilliant atmosphere overall.

The Chap - June 2017 has seen a re-launch of the humorous and stylish men's magazine 'The Chap', in which an 8-page section was given over to an antiques hunting trip to Ardingly International fair.  The magazine's resident antiques expert and occasional dealer, Michael 'Atters' Attlee took a wry look at the antiques world while visiting the fair, encouraging the magazine's readers to try it for themselves.  'The Chap' plans to run a regular antiques section in their quarterly publication, so fairgoers should keep an eye out for 'Chaps' at future IACF fairs.

Featured Interview in the Sunday Telegraph - IACF currently enjoys great coverage in the Sunday Telegraph '5 minute expert' column.  In a recently featured interview, Grant Nicholas of IACF spoke to Liz & Michael Flatter about their love of antique & contemporary glass.
