Following the success of the inaugural TEFAF New York Fall in October 2016, TEFAF is now offering a ‘first look’ at some of the objects that will be showcased this Fall.

TEFAF New York Fall 2016 brought an immersive fair experience for visitors, through curated exhibitor presentations, dynamic programming and unique institutional collaborations. Known for pushing the boundaries of the traditional art fair, TEFAF New York gathered a global community of collectors, interior designers, museum curators and connoisseurs.

The Armory will again be transformed by Dutch designer Tom Postma, whose sleek and ethereal reimagination of the landmark venue stunned fairgoers on its unveiling in October 2016. It promises to provide a stunning backdrop for the collections of exceptional objects showcased by the participating dealers.

Visitors to TEFAF New York will be able to choose from a wide variety of furniture, decorative arts, ceramics, glass, silver, textiles, tapestries, antiquities, jewellery, paintings, sculptures, books, manuscripts, arms and armour, and Asian art. All items will be strictly vetted to ensure buyer confidence.

Patrick van Maris, CEO of TEFAF said: “We are delighted to return to the Park Avenue Armory to build on the successful debuts of TEFAF New York Fall (October 2016) and TEFAF New York Spring (May 2017)... We have been overwhelmed by the response TEFAF New York has received so far. Many collectors and museum representatives have called it a “gamechanger” and a welcome addition to the international art calendar. The United States is the largest art market in the world, and we are looking forward to cementing our presence in New York while continuing to showcase the very best the art world has to offer.”

“TEFAF is taking the lead to bring a fresh perspective to the world of historical art, and we are continuously refining TEFAF New York’s collector experience,” says Michael Plummer, Managing Director of TEFAF New York. “The recently unveiled Fall exhibitor list reflects exciting new additions and collecting areas which add greatly to the dynamic mix of the Fair. New programming highlights and other events are in the works for Fall 2017.”
