publicity funded by the deep pockets of the international auction
houses. At the same time, more major British antiques fairs were being organised by large companies and the trade press dominated by a large public-company publisher. A real need was felt for a newspaper devoted solely to the interest and opinion of antiques dealers. Antiques & Art Independent has filled this gap over the years providing an absolutely independent voice of the trade.
